Sparky the Border Collie cross ended up at the RSPCA to be re homed, Sparky had an amazing amount of drive for the tennis ball and a great attitude to match. Sparky may have ended up in the Middle East as an explosives detection dog but the great news is that after lots of testing he was selected for the Quoll detection program. Sparky has spent the last several months at Saddlers Springs near the Carnarvon Gorge been prepared for the Quoll detection on May 25, 2011 Sparky completed with flying colours the field trails for the detection of Quoll scat.

Sparky has now entered the second stage of training for the detection of Quoll Colonies and dens to assist the great Quoll experts in protecting this valuable Australian species.
A big thank you for the dedication of the many great Aussies doing an amazing job helping understand and protect the Quoll.
