Every year on new years night fireworks from organised events and illegal fireworks will be going off all night and your dog will be in the firing line. Every year hundreds of dogs escape from their yard, injure themselves or end up at the pound as a result of fireworks and in most cases the owners are away celebrating.
If you can’t get your dog in a boarding kennel you may even lock him up under the house or in a small room with item of your clothing on his bed. Ensure he eats late afternoon of early night and play some music to help cover any fireworks noise. If you can get to your veterinarian pick up some tranquilizers such as ACP tables, this alone will make a big difference. Good luck and keep your best friend safe this new years.
