Handler Training Programs
All of the dogs we have for sale include a basic handler training program. Extended handler programs may cost extra however we will provide you with all the training you require to ensure the success of your team.
Every Handler Training Program is personally customised by Gary Jackson to ensure the best possible outcome. For example a 1 hour private lesson may only be required on the obedience or protection dogs for sale. Or if the handler is a total amateur we may format a 4 hour program with several follow up training sessions.
Specialty dogs may require an extended handler training program that can be 7 to 14 days full time lecture and hands on training.
Introducing the handler with their new dog can take anything from 1 hour to several introductions over a 1 week period. The protection dogs are introduced very carefully and professionally. For safety the dog is muzzled and tranquilized during the introduction and the handler may spend several hours with the dog before the muzzle is taken off. Only when MNK9 trainers are satisfied that the dog is safe with you the dog can then be taken home.
Some specialty dogs may require a program at MNK9 and a follow up program weeks later on location once the dog has acclimatised. Gary Jackson will travel anywhere in Australia or overseas to work and train the handler and dog on site to ensure the best performance.
