Dog Training Tips

Training dogs for basic obedience is one thing but you will always have special requests to ensure the dog will work well for the owner. Today Danny who has been confined to a wheelchair picked up his little dog with a big heart Lucky.

The first part of the training is basic on lead obedience and instead of the come command the Heal command can be used for Lucky to return to Danny’s left hand side.

A second handler can also be used during the second stage of the training program. Danny can give the command and the second handler can ensure lucky obeys Danny and also give heaps of praise and pats.

The last stages of the training will be private lessons on location to make sure lucky walks well besides Danny and will sit, drop and stay on voice command only.

And finally Danny will be able to let Lucky off lead in a public park and have Lucky return to his side when called.
